We, ten Brink Engineering & Consulting GmbH & Co. KG, based in Nuremberg and active in the field of (special) plant construction for the food industry, are something like the underdogs in mechanical engineering. Why underdogs? Quite simply, we build highly developed machines for food production and are one of the world’s leading machine construction companies in the confectionery sector with a team of just under 25 people. Not bad, is it? We think so too. With our innovative systems, we have the potential to shape the food industry of tomorrow. In order for us to grow healthily and meet the increasing demand, we need you to accompany us on our way to a glorious future.

Tasks

Your tasks and what else awaits you in our team:

Working closely with our team, you plan and design concepts. Together with your colleagues in the design department, you form the heart of our company, as your design plans are the first visible result for our customers before construction begins in our production hall. When designing, you should also have an eye for ensuring that the system not only works and looks good, but is also easy for our construction mechanics and welders to build.

Your core tasks briefly listed:

  • Installation planning for systems and pipelines
  • Design of special systems for the food industry with 2D and 3D CAD/CAE system (Solid Works/Draftsight)
  • Creation of parts lists
  • Stocktaking at our customers’ premises
  • Creation of material lists for material procurement.

Profile

These are our requirements for you:

It is important to us that you want to play an active role in shaping plant engineering and realize your skills in design and that you are interested in a healthy and long-term collaboration, just like we are. To ensure that you settle in well with us right from the start, you should bring the following with you:

  • (prospective) State-certified technician/designer or (prospective) degree in mechanical/process engineering or comparable qualification
  • Experienced handling of a CAD system (SolidWorks 3D, Draft Sight)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Confident and customer-oriented appearance and good communication skills
  • English language skills for communication with international customers
  • Independent, reliable and conscientious way of working
  • Ability to work in a team and high level of commitment
  • Enthusiasm and high self-motivation

Offer

What we would like to offer you:

Flat hierarchy

Pure variety

You can and may show what you’ve got with your contributions and suggestions. True to the motto: “What doesn’t fit will be made to fit” and “there’s no such thing as can’t”. You can constantly develop yourself further and become a gifted expert in system construction.

Practice instead of pure theory

You will experience exciting assignments with customers on site again and again and can get a concrete picture of their circumstances or your implemented projects. This allows you to recognize new potential and develop your own innovative solutions. As we manufacture completely in-house, you can follow your designs at all stages and actively learn from them.

Support instead of pressure

In short, we want you to be able to develop to your full potential, enjoy your vocation and be proud of yourself and your journey with us. We believe in your creativity and in your idea of changing things

We also offer you:

  • Fair & performance-oriented pay – because we value your commitment
  • Teamwork with open communication & mutual support
